Very clever of you to notice!! During ...Hi Heather! Very clever of you to notice!! During the early 1900's it became "all the rage" for women to dress up as men & have their photographs taken. It's one of the reasons I singled out my grandmother for her adventurous attitude. She was raised in a very strict Baptist family - I would love to know what her family thought about her dressing up as a man! - i think this is a glimpse into the type of woman she was - possibly not what she would have shared with her granddaughter. I have a couple of other photographs at first glance looks like a man ... until you take a closer look. I don't recognize the photo subject leading me to believe my grandmothers friends were just as adventurous.
